Ham on Rye is a brutally beautiful read about growing up in America during the depression. The lead character is so unlikeable yet somehow you end up rooting for him. Bukowski is so unashamed to show those parts of himself that we normally hide out of fear of judgement. We can learn a lot from him. Nice article cheers.
